The day Google Alerts went mainstream

Twitter has been all the rage in the mainstream media lately, but yesterday it was Google Alerts’ turn. Alec Baldwin’s character on NBC’s “30 Rock” said he had a Google News Alert for “Tracy Jordan ridiculous disaster,” and Twitter went wild. For the record, I was the second one to tweet this, and my time was the same as #1, so technically it was a tie. People are still tweeting about it.
