While tracking the phrase “google alerts” in TweetDeck, I came across a lot of tweets with the #journchat hash tag. This lead to the Journchat blog, which describes itself as, “an ongoing conversation between journalists, bloggers and PR folks.” I’m not sure I understand the complete scene, but this seems to be a source of real interesting conversations. I’ll be following their Twitter account.
Update: I understand a little more. Their Twitter bio explains that it is, “a weekly (Mon 7-10pm CST) conversation between journalists, bloggers and public relations folks (conversation started by @PRsarahevans)”. And there is a tweet that says, “this is a chat b/t PR folks, journs and bloggers. each week we get a diff mix and diff questions. #journchat”.
